Terry Sanderson, O.D. Dr. Sanderson is a graduate of the University of Montana and Pacific University College of Optometry. He is a Senior Examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. He is also a member of Vision Optometric Services to Humanity.
Education: Pacific University College of Optometry. Graduated with Doctor of Optometry degree. Northern Montana and University of Montana. Graduated with B.A. degree in Zoology with Pre-med options.
Licensure: Dr. Sanderson has previsously been licensed in Idaho, Indiana, Montana, Washington and Wyoming, and is currently licensed in Idaho and Montana. He also has Hospital privileges at Caribou Memorial Hospital and Bear Lake Memorial Hospital.
Experience: Currently in Private Practice in Soda Springs, Idaho Hawley Army Hospital, Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indiana Functioned as an Army Optometrist at Fort Ben Harrison served at the rank of Captain and was Chief of the EENT Clinic. U.S. Army Medical Service School, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas Clinical Instructor for Pacific University College of Optometry Albina Clinic, a satellite vision care facility aiding an indigent community of Portland, Oregon.
Activities: Past Sponsor of Girl Scout Troops and Minor League Baseball teams. Past Director and Chairman of the Board of the Caribou County Historical Society. Past Director and President of the Soda Springs Lions Club. Membership in the Lions Club has allowed involvement in organizing vision, amblyopia, glaucoma screenings and numerous Hospital Health Fairs. Trustee, Idaho Lions, Sight and Hearing Foundation. Past-President of the Idaho Optometric Association, An organization representing approximately 115 Idaho Optometrists. Past Optometric Representative to the Idaho Rural Health Education Center, An organization dedicated to meeting the Health Care needs of Rural Idaho. Lectured on the subject of Medicare and 3rd Party Reimbursement. 1992 & 1997 Testified before the Idaho State Senate And House Health & Welfare Committee to Testify for enhancement of Pharmaceutical Drug use by Optometrists. Appointed by the Governor to serve on the Idaho State Board of Examiners in Optometry, the licensing and regulation arm for Idaho Optometrists Performed the first YAG Laser capsulotomies in Idaho by an Optometrist at Caribou Memorial Hospital. Past-Chairman, Idaho State Board of Optometry Presently serving as an Examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry PastIdaho Representative and Director of the Great Western Conference of Optometry (GWCO) which is involved in the planning and organization of the northwest's largest annual Optometric educational conference.
